Alex fundraises at School for Red Pandas!

Alex presents cheque to Red Panda Keeper Ashleigh Alex feeding a Red Panda Red Panda sitting on Alex's lap

We were delighted when we heard that ten-year-old Alex has raised £73.47 for Red Panda conservation. He raised the money at school to help Red Pandas, and then planned a visit to Paradise Park with his mum Loretta to actually meet his favourite animal.

Director Alison Hales comments “It was a pleasure to meet such a well-informed Red Panda enthusiast. We will pass the money on to the Red Panda Network, a charity that we fundraise for through our Red Panda Experience and other activities at the Park. The money is helping to establish the world’s first protected area dedicated to Red Pandas in Nepal.

At the time of this post we had raised $1,347 dollars.

Both Alex and mum Loretta took part in a Red Panda Experience. They really enjoyed going into the enclosure to spend time with Jai-Li and her son Koda to feed and stroke them, commenting “This experience has increased our love for these amazing animals. Thank you Paradise Park.”
