During the summer (Easter to September), additional shows and events are introduced which give you a fantastic opportunity to experience close encounters with some amazing birds and animals.
Please note: We are sure you appreciate that the ‘flying’ events are weather permitting and so may not happen on very windy/rainy days. Thank you.

As you stroll around the Park you will see many colourful birds including rare and beautiful parrots, flamingos, toucans and red-billed choughs, plus owls, kookaburras and cranes. With over 130 species and a total of over 1,200 birds there is a stunning range to see.
Learn about our breeding group of Humboldt’s Penguins at their twice daily feeding times – a few lucky children are chosen to help feed the penguins their fish, and at certain times during the summer when the penguins are not breeding, we are able to run special ‘Penguin Photocalls’ – for details please click here. Please note, the Penguin Photocalls can get very busy and you may have to wait while we let everyone take their turn. On very rare occasions, the penguins that take part in this may reach a point where they have had enough and if this is the case then we do have to finish the photocall.
