Snowdrop planting on Mothering Sunday 2020

Mums and family members are invited to join in the snowdrop planting at Paradise Park in Hayle between 11:30am to 12:30pm on Mothering Sunday 22nd March.

Mothering Sunday Snowdrop Planting

You just need to be happy to use one of our trowels, plus we have a few kneelers available, to dig a hole to tuck in the ‘in the green’ snowdrop plants.

Treat your mum to a walk around the Park, spring flower planting and maybe a Cornish cream tea or other delights from the Otter Pool Café including tea and crumpets, soup of the day and a wonderful selection of homemade cakes.

Our Head Gardener Mike Kemp explains “Snowdrops look beautiful and provide nectar for the first bees to emerge after the winter. Over the past two years we have planted 8,000 snowdrops in the nature trail area we are establishing and it would be lovely to see you on Mother’s Day to help us add another 2,000 and make the carpet of white flowers even bigger next February.”
