11am Penguin Feeding

The penguin enclosure is in the walled garden. Find out some fascinating facts about our wonderful Humboldt’s penguins, plus a few lucky people will be asked to help feed them. This is usually followed by the Penguin Photocall, where you get a chance to be up close and stroke a friendly penguin. Have your camera ready! See more photos/video here

Penguin Photocall important note: After penguin feeding time there is usually a chance to meet one of our hand-reared penguins. This is subject to the birds, their breeding seasons and moulting status – we don’t force them to take part so are not able to promise it will always take place. The photocalls can get very busy. Please be aware once everyone waiting in the queue has been through, the sessions do end. The next penguin feeding and photocall is at 3pm. Thank you.
