One of the main jobs for our Keepers is creating fun, interesting, interactive enrichment activities which are key in encouraging a range of normal behaviours that birds and mammals find rewarding, providing them with mental stimulation, social interaction and exercise.

Otter Pool Cafe

Delicious selection of locally made cakes and pasties to delicious hot panani rolls and more information available on the boards when you arrive.

FOOD AND DRINK

Otter Pool Cafe is open 10am to 2:45pm (last hot meal orders 2pm).

The JungleBarn Snack Bar is open between 10am and 5pm with drinks, great tasting hot dogs and cheeseburgers, or snack on hot crunchy crisps and treat yourself to a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows, plus sandwiches and ice creams.

You’re welcome to bring your own food and drink and make use of our picnic areas.

We have a five star rating from the Food Standards Agency

Reduction in single use plastics in our cafe.
We are always looking to reduce plastics and any wastage where possible. We now use paper straws and wooden stirrers, and if you have your own water bottle and would like it re-filled with tap water please ask a member of staff, thank you.
