Fundraising

Over the years our visitors have been incredibly generous and helped with our fundraising for special projects.

We do this in various ways. After our ‘Eagles of Paradise Display’, keepers may sell souvenir gifts to fundraise for such projects as the International Vulture Progarmme.

We run the ‘Red Panda Experience, where you can book a 30 minute session for the most amazing up close, hands-on experience, and money from each booking is donated directly to the Red Panda Network which is establishing the world’s first protected area dedicated to red pandas: the Panchthar-Ilam-Taplejung (PIT) Red Panda Protected Forest in eastern Nepal, plus ‘Plant A Red Panda Home’ – Reforesting Core Red Panda Habitat in Nepal. Find out more here

At the end of our ‘Free Flying Bird Show’, we raise money for the World Parrot Trust. Visitors can come up onto the stage and hold our their arm with a £1 or £2 coin, and a parrot will fly to them to collect it and then pop it in a collection tin. Find out more about this and other conservation projects, campaigns and fundraising here.
