Five super cute piglets at Paradise Park!
Five gorgeous little piglets have arrived at Paradise Park in time for the Easter holidays to the delight of staff and visitors!
Director Nick Reynolds comments “Our sow, ‘Ginger’, is a rather hairy Gloucester Old Spot, and she has five little piglets. Their dad is a Tamworth cross Cornish Black, with four of the piglets showing their spotty heritage and one pure black. The piglets are just a week old, and the whole family are doing well in their Fun Farm paddock.”
All three types of pig are ancient breeds, with Gloucester Old Spots known for having a gentle nature and good maternal instincts. Tamworths are hardy, bristly and red-haired and Large Blacks are lop-eared, productive and known for their placid temperaments.
This Easter the Fun Farm is one of the many highlights, along with the start of the summer flying displays, the Easter Egg Hunt, Penguin photocalls, close encounters and much more!
