Love at first sight for two new otters
It was love at first sight for our new little Asian Short-clawed Otters who arrived just in time for the Easter holidays.
The female is ‘Pippin’, she came from Woburn Safari Park and is three and a half years old. The male is called ‘Katarni’, he’s age three and from Tilgate Nature Centre.
They arrived late on Saturday 1st April and got to meet each other for the first time the following day, and have been getting on extremely well ever since… we think it was love at first sight. We are really delighted with the way they have settled in.
They are out and about during the day, eating well, enjoying swimming, playing and Pippin has even started gathering grassy material for the holt (their underground den) which we hope is a good sign for things to come.
