We are a family run award-winning sanctuary is set in exotic gardens and there are over 1,200 stunning birds to meet – spectacular parrots, penguins, Cornish choughs, golden and bald eagles, toucans plus rare red pandas, red squirrels, and cute harvest mice. Meet mini donkeys, pygmy goats, sheep, rabbits and guinea pigs in the Fun Farm – all adorable family favourites.
The huge indoor ‘JungleBarn’ play centre is fabulous fun whatever the weather. With giant slides, challenging soft play and toddlers’ zone it’s great fun for all the family.
Help feed the cute Pygmy goats and Ouessant sheep down on the Fun Farm. Each day there are 150 little bags of ‘Goat and Sheep Food’ which are 65p and available on entry.
See our otter family being fed at 10:30am nd 4:30pm.
The colony of penguins will be fed twice a day and include a Keeper talk. 11am and 4pm
11:30am noon is the ‘Eagles of Paradise’ display. You may see Tangee the Palm-nut Vulture, Dakota the Bald Eagle, Angelo the Bateleur Eagle or Bong the Kookaburra (runs to the end of September)
Feed the little Lorikeet parrots at 2pm. A fantastic experience! Buy a small pot of nectar and help feed these wonderful little parrots in their walk-through aviary in the walled garden. (runs to the end of September and in some winter school holidays)
The popular ‘Free Flying Bird Show’ at 3pm features, Amazon parrots, choughs and other birds flying free. On the stage and across the picnic lawn. A great opportunity to learn about natural bird behaviours in a wonderfully entertaining way. (runs to the end of September)
Have a cockatoo fly to your hand! – At the end of the 3pm ‘Free Flying Bird Show’
A unique and fun way for the staff and birds to fundraise for Paradise Park’s conservation projects. You have the opportunity to go up on the main stage at the end of the afternoon ‘Free Flying Bird Show’ to give a £1 or £2 donation. Roseate Cockatoos Billy, Rizzo or Rio will be ready to fly to your hand, collect the coin, fly back to the presenter and place it into the collection tin. Great fun and a very popular experience, all for a good cause. Weather permitting.
Impressive Scarlet Macaw Spectacle – At the end of the 3pm ‘Free Flying Bird Show’
You will be moved by the sight of the stunningly beautiful parrots flying out of their aviary and soaring into the sky. Strong and skilled flyers, our very sweet macaws are Haribo, Candy, Calipo, Dotty, Truffles, Skittles, Sherbert, Shrimp, Rhubarb, Polo, Malteser and Bounty. Another great photo opportunity. (runs to the end of September)
On good weather days the Jungle Express Train, with Zebedee its loco, will be out for a spin! Board the train near the picnic lawn and set off through the gardens of Glanmor House on two circuits around the grounds of the house (not the whole Park). Includes the top section of Parrot Jungle, a trip through a tunnel with Twinkly Lights leading to behind the scenes at the back of the house. For train times please check when you arrive. There is a small extra charge.
Treat yourself to a light lunch or cream tea, with Kids’ Lunchboxes and ice creams available, at the Paradise Café with plenty of picnic tables and benches throughout the Park, plus snack bar inside the JungleBarn.
