Red Panda Cub Vet Check
It’s a boy and a girl!
Our twin Red Panda cubs born back at the end of June have just had their first vet check!
Curator David Woolcock explains “The time had come for the cubs to have their first vet check, and I am delighted to report that we have one boy and one girl and both are fit and healthy. This was their first trip outside the den, so lots of excitement for them.”
Previously we have had twin boys and twin girls.
WE ARE ASKING YOU FOR NAME SUGGESTIONS
We are asking the public for their name suggestions on Facebook and Twitter and the keepers will pick their favourites, so let us know what you think would suit these two lovely little cubs. Closing date for name suggestions is Friday 4th September 2015.

Recent data suggests that Red Panda population numbers may be as low as 2,500, due to continuous loss of habitat and wildlife trading. The existing population is expected to experience additional declines of 10% every 10 years.
We support via funds and raising awareness, the Red Panda Network, which is committed to the conservation of wild red pandas and their habitat through the education and empowerment of local communities.
