Red Panda Weekend
19 and 20 September 2026
Celebrate International Red Panda Day here at Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary as we welcome our two new Red Pandas, Freyja and Rollo, and shine a spotlight on our much-loved resident Jai-Li.
To celebrate, we are holding a ‘Red Panda Weekend’ on Saturday 19 September and Sunday 20 September. Visitors can claim £2 off single tickets by using code REDPANDA online or at reception on arrival.
- Children visiting over the weekend will also receive a FREE Red Panda badge, a fun fact sheet and a colouring sheet.
- There will be a special Keeper Red Panda talk on both days at 12:15pm.

We are home to three red pandas. Our lovely resident Jai-Li, who is now 15 years old, and two new arrivals! Freyja, a young female born on 5 July 2025 at Copenhagen Zoo in Denmark and her companion, Rollo, on 20th June 2025 at Chateau de la Bourbansais in France.
They have been allocated to Paradise Park through the coordinated breeding programme for this endangered species. Red pandas are fairly solitary in the wild but after just a few hours we can see they are curious about each other. Fingers crossed, we hope to hear the patter of tiny Red Panda feet sometime next year. 😊

Supporting Conservation Efforts
Over the past ten years, we have contributed £20,720 to the Red Panda Network, thanks to donations from the Red Panda Experience programme. These funds have supported the ‘Red Panda Protected Forest’, establishing the world’s first protected area dedicated to Red Pandas, and the ‘Plant A Red Panda Home’ campaign, which has resulted in the planting of 15,113 trees.
