Species at Paradise Park

Below are just some of the species you can see at Paradise Park, with photos and information which we hope you will find interesting.

Find out more about our species below.

We hold over 130 species of birds (over 1,200 birds in total) plus beautiful Red pandas, rare Red squirrels, tiny Harvest Mice plus, lovely mini donkeys, fun pygmy goats and sheep, and cute rabbits and guinea pigs. There is a wonderful selection to see.

Many of our birds are on “breeding loan” to other collections, who in turn lend us birds to pair up here. The details of every bird at Paradise Park are kept on a computerised record keeping system which is compiled in the USA on an international database. The purpose of this is to record numbers of captive breeding birds and to ensure diversity in the gene pool.

Please note that our collection of birds and animals does change from time to time and it may take a little while to remove a species that has left the Park or add a new species to this section. Thank you.
